| ~The Espada~Welcome to Las Noches.~ The Espada are the top-ranked Arrancar.Those among the Arrancar that excel in power are chosen and favored according to their strength, they are assigned a number from one to ten. Those chosen ten are called the Espada. They have their given number carved into their very flesh. The Espada have free control over the Números and may choose as many of them as they like to become their Fracción. Similar to the power gap between captains and lieutenants in the Gotei 13, the strength of the Espada far surpasses that of the average Número. Their immense amount of power and leadership status among the Arrancar also grants each Espada the authority to exert command over other forces within Las Noches: the Números, the Exequias, and their own Fracción. Various missions usually involve one or more Espada operating together, with the most senior member exercising command over the others.Each Espada has their own quarters in Las Noches.The Las Noches and Espada are led by a mysterious Arrancar woman who holds number zero,The Cero Espada.
~Location~
Espada reside in Las Noches palace which is located within Hueco Mundo.
Las Noches:
Las Noches is the fortress located in Hueco Mundo and base of operations of the Espada.Complete with medical facilities and detention wings.Las Noches is massive and can be seen for miles. It consists of a main building with a domed center surrounded by several large towers and smaller buildings. Atop the dome are five smaller towers (or as they appear), which contain areas such as Zero Espada's throne room and the Espada meeting hall. Like everything else in Hueco Mundo, the main building is colored white. It takes about three days to move from one spot to a gate. The inside of Las Noches dome simulate the living world and Soul Society's blue sky.The position of the halls within the palace can also be adjusted, allowing the one operating them to direct the movements of intruders.
Hueco Mundo:
Hueco Mundo is located between the Human world and Soul Society, though it is separate from the bordering dimension known as Dangai. The landscape of Hueco Mundo is a seemingly never-ending white desert, with dunes like those of the Sahara. The desert is littered with what appear to be boulders and shriveled trees, but these are actually a form of quartz. In Hueco Mundo, the moon is on the opposite lunar phase of that in the Human World. The vast desert also seems to lack any bodies of water. Like in Soul Society, the atmosphere is filled with Reiryoku in the form of Reishi, but it is more concentrated, thus allowing smaller Hollows to gain nourishment despite the lack of Human souls.Like that in real world deserts, active life in Hueco Mundo appears to be few and far between. Hollows generally seem to dwell below the surface or in other areas until something provokes them to leave their shelter, like the intrusion of a foreign entity. All Hollows dwell in Hueco Mundo regardless of their shape, size, or power.
~Accessing Hueco Mundo~
Hueco Mundo can only be accessed by tearing the dimensional fabric separating the worlds, allowing Hollows to travel to any other dimension at will.Depending on the Hollow, the effect of this process varies. Regular Hollows usually appear from a small black vortex or form out of smoke, while Menos-class Hollows quite literally tear the sky apart to emerge. Arrancar use a more stable variant of the latter technique known as Garganta.Shinigami use their usual gateways.
~Hollow Evolution~- Spoiler:
Demi-Hollow aka Jibaku Plus: A plus in the process of becoming a Hollow.They are usually chained to a particular location.
Hollows:They are Pluses that do not cross over to Soul Society for some reason and stay in the human world too long,becoming corrupt.Losing their heart they turn into masked monsters with a hole in their chest and unquenchable hunger for souls.
-Menos-
Gillian aka Menos Grande:Created when a group of cannibalistic Hollows enter a feeding frenzy and fuse together.Essentially foot soldiers,they are big,slow and stupid.Their lack of intelligence allows other Hollows to command then.However,sometimes during the fusing process one mind takes dominance.Such Gillians have a unique mask and can continue to evolve by feeding on more of their brethren.
Adjuchas:Vary greatly in personality,appearance and size.Usually larger then a human but smaller then a Gillian.They have to continue feeding to hold on to their own mind and persona or revert back to Gillian,unable ever again to evolve.Also,if even a bite is taken from their bodies their evolution stops.
Vasto Lorde:The final stage of the evolutionary line these are known to be extremely powerful beyond any of the other stages. The population is extremely rare and only known to exist in the deepest parts of Hueco Mundo.
~Arrancar~A Hollow that has removed its mask,gaining shinigami like powers.Usually gaining a humanoid like appearance every Arrancar has fragments of the mask they have ripped off and abandoned in favor of power and the mark of the hollow hole to represent the part of them that is missing.They also gain a Zanpakutō .However,it is entirely different from shinigami Zanpakutō.The Arrancar seal the nuclei of their abilities within the form of a sword.When they release their Zanpakutō ,this is called Resurrección,they are releasing their true power and form.The combat efficiency of an Arrancar with a released Zanpakutō is increased several times over.Arrancar abilities include:Bala,Cero,Garganta,Hierro,Pesquisa,Sonido and of course Resurreccion.It should be noted that Arrancar powers,zanpakuto and Resurreccions have Spanish names much like shinigami have Japanese.They also usually have names with repeated letters,especially those ranked Espada.(Such as:Ulquiorra,Yammy,etc.)
~Reiryoku (霊力, Spiritual Power)~- Spoiler:
Reiryoku (霊力, Spiritual Power) is a power aligned with the spiritual sensitivity and willpower of the user.Every spiritual being and every human has a certain amount of Reiryoku. If this amount is higher than a certain degree, it grants the person superhuman abilities.Reiryoku is used by Shinigami to:increase their physical strength, power, speed and their height of jump, or to float in the air;effectively channel the powers of their Zanpakutō and use its special abilities (shikai,bankai,etc);cast Kidō;provide power for their various other feats.It can also be coalesced into a physical form and thrown or shot as a projectile.Hollows and Arrancar can also increase their mobility and strength with it like the Shinigami above,the usage of their Zanpakutō also relies on Reiryoku, albeit in a different manner.Cero and Bala are Reiryoku based attacks,Hierro and Regeneration also use it. As a display of potency, spiritual beings have the ability to incapacitate the opponent's movement and simultaneously frighten
them, by means of dispersing Reiryoku into the air. The ability is known as Reiatsu (Spiritual Pressure).Those with higher levels of Reiryoku are also able to sense other spiritual beings without relying on their five basic senses.This ability can be improved by training.Every spiritual being has a unique pattern to his/her emitted Reiryoku. One
can recognize the pattern of his friends after some time,being able to sense their presence and their physical and mental state from relatively great distances. Sudden changes in Reiryoku pattern can mean that the person in question is in great stress (i.e. fighting) or has received a grave wound.Different types of spiritual beings have greatly different patterns of Reiryoku,a Hollows differs from Shinigamis.By completely blocking his/her Reiryoku "pouring out", one can completely hide his/her presence from other spiritual beings.On the other hand, amplifying this emission is known as Spiritual Pressure, and is considered a show of force, or even an attack in itself, and it can indeed paralyze opponents, and cause direct damage to the surrounding individuals and
inanimate objects alike.After excessive usage of Reiryoku Shinigami and other dwellers of Soul Society need food to replenish their strength.
~Reiatsu (霊圧, Spiritual Pressure) ~- Spoiler:
Reiatsu (霊圧, Spiritual Pressure) is the physical force/pressure that a person’s Reiryoku creates when released.The difference between spiritual pressure and spiritual energy is: Reiryoku is the amount of energy a being has stored within their body or soul, whereas Reiatsu is the pressure that a person’s Reiryoku exerts. The difference is much
like energy and power. Power being the amount of energy exerted per unit of time. Reiryoku is potential while Reiatsu is energy in use.A skilled warrior can overcome a person possessing greater Spirit Energy by possessing greater Spiritual Pressure.
Each person has their own Reiatsu color determined by their personality.Some people's Reiatsu manifests into a shape,based on inner strength/energy, whenever the release enough of it.(Example:Ichgio's blue Reiatsu in shape of his Hollow Mask.)With sufficient enough power, Shinigami can use their own reiatsu to harden their skin, and effectively protect themselves from attacks.Reiatsu at its most basic level can instill fear in others when it is very high,willpower being the way to fight this method.High level of spiritual power can cause those of significantly lower power to: be stunned by simply being in its
presence,feel as though they are being attacked though nothing is physically happening to them.It can also be used to paralyze an opponent just by focusing pressure through a stare. (Can be used on significantly lower level NPC's only.Think difference between a high level Captain and academy student.)In high enough quantities, spiritual pressure can be lethal to others.(This is for use by special NPC's only,like three groups leaders, since power difference must be immense).Most characters have standart type of reiatsu, which has no other effect than those described above, along with its unique color and feeling. Most Hollows and Shinigami have this type, while every Quincy and Human always have this type.All Vizard and Arrancar have dual type specific reiatsu.
~Ranks~
As Soul Society has it's own ranks so does Las Noches.They are as follows:- Spoiler:
Espada:
As Gotei 13 has its Captains so does Las Noches has the Espada.They are the swords of Las Noches,the supposedly ten strongest Arrancar within the realm of Hueco Mundo.Each has their number,from one to ten,tattooed somewhere on their body. Each Espada also takes on an aspect of death that ties into their beliefs,personality and/or powers.They are:Loneliness,Old Age/Time, Sacrifice, Nihilism, Despair, Destruction, Intoxication, Madness, Greed and Rage.Espada exclusive techniques are Caja Negación and Gran Rey Cero.Any Espada ranked 4th or higher are not allowed to release their Zanpakutō within Las Noches palace, as their Resurrección's released powers are powerful enough to destroy the majority of Las Noches.Espada have their own duties to be carried out.All Espada answer and are lead by the Cero (zero) Espada.
Privaron Espada:
They are former Espada who have officially lost their rank and are assigned a three-digit number.Second strongest after the Espada they are labeled with numbers of one hundred and one through one ten,which stand for their previous spot.Though some leave after losing their rank those that stay remain an important part of Las Noches.
Fraccion:
Loyal followers to one of the Espada.Setting aside desires for promotion and advancement in rank they loyally serve their Espada.They are handpicked by the Espada from the ranks of Números,though some Espada chose not to have any Fraccion while others have many.In some rare cases an Arrancar might approach an Espada and ask to be their Fraccion,though such proposition has to be accepted.Though many get the misconception that Fraccion must be weak because they serve that couldn't be further from the truth.Though their power is less then that of the Espada it is still a force to be reckoned with.
Numerous:
Like seated shinigami of Gotei 13,this is a varied group of soldiers that specialize in combat.Their fighting ability is superior to other Arrancars,except of course the current and former Espada.The best Numerous usually get picked out as Fraccion.
Exequias:
They are the Onmitsukidō of Las Noches.The Exequias are Arrancar that are part of the execution division.They are charged with termination of intruders and rebels,intelligence gathering,scouting,security and patrolling of Las Noches,etc.
~Point in the story~
The Espada
They have been relatively quiet as of late,busy preparing their own plans and gathering forces.Since a mysterious female Arrancar took the rank of Cero Espada and the mantle of leadership ten years ago from the previous #0, they have become more organized and civilized.No longer can one advance by killing off the one in a higher spot.Such actions are frowned upon. Of course,challenging them to a battle for the position in another matter,if it is approved by the Cero.One thing is certain,they have big plans that involve all of Hueco Mundo.Shinigami had better be prepared.
~Other Arrancars~
The two Ex-Espada Ryu Okazaki and Miyuu Kuragari join forces to form an alliance against The Arcana.Meanwhile,the other Ex-Espada Shiro Asaka is assassinated by The Death of said Arcana on the orders of the organizations mysterious leader.

~Uniform~
- Spoiler:
Espada and overall Las Noches uniform consist of a white jacket, black sash, white hakama, and black and white boots that bear an opposing similarity to a Shinigami's sandals; in essence, the uniforms are basically inverted Shinigami uniforms.However,may Espada customize their uniforms as they see fit or even completely change them.Though the color is usually white it is not restricted to it anymore.Arrancars not part of Las Noches dress however they wish.
~Creating an Arrancar Character~
In your character's profile you should include a good description of their physical appearance which should include where their Hollow hole is located and what their mask fragments looks like plus its position,their history,their abilities and preferably a little about their mastery of the Arrancar abilities:Bala,Cero,Garganta,Hierro,Pesquisa and Sonido (More information on those can be found in RP Guide.) Also,the color of their reiatsu and description of their zanpakuto.You can have them remember their human life or not.If they do they might be a little more human like.If you're unsure what else to put in your profile take a look at some belonging to other members.
Seeing as Shinigami have kido and gain shikai sooner then Arrancars obtain their release upon reaching level three you can have and use up to three Pre-Resurreccion powers.These should be watered down,with drawbacks.They will be looked at carefully and if over powered you will be asked to tone them down more.
Seeing as the nature of their release is much different from shinigami Arrancars have Resurrecion from the start but are unable to use it until reaching level 23.Upon reaching level 23 your Arrancar character can use Resurreccion.Unlike shinigami you do not have to role play out obtaining it as it's assumed you have it from the start.However,the first time it is used the transformation and appearance should be described in full detail.You can have no more then six skills in your Resurreccion form.Please make it balanced,each ability should have some small drawback or weakness to it.It should be noted Resurreccion forms are usually animal based.(like a tiger,a bat,a shark,etc.) However,you are free to make it whatever you wish.Let your imagination run free.^^
Though it is usually Espada who have Fraccion other Arrancars have adopted the practice as well,calling loyal servants Fraccion.One character can become a Fraccion of another (more on this below) but in this case we are talking of NPC's (non player characters) you role play out.They are attached to your character,an example of this is Miyuu's Fraccion Dark.Please try to keep their number no higher then three,any more make things confusing.Fraccion can be more powerful then your character but not higher level.So if your level is five then your Fraccions level is also five.
Your Arrancar character can belong to Las Noches,be a part of Arcana (details on this are in their thread) or be rogue so to speak,on their own.If they are part of Las Noches please pm me and you'll be given information only Las Noches belonging Arrancar should know.
~Gaining ranks~
These ranks are for Arrancars that are part of Las Noches only.
Becoming a Numerous:automatic rank.
Becoming an Exequias: Open rank,simply request it.
Becoming a Fraccion: An Espada must ask you to become their Fraccion.You can also approach and ask them yourselves in which case they have the right to refuse.
Becoming an Espada: You can request to become an Espada after reaching
level three and being a member on the forum for two weeks,showing that
you will be active and wont disappear after a few days.The first to
request Espada rank will be given #10.When next person requests a rank
#10 will be promoted to #9 and the new person will be given #10
spot.So,as more people get the Espada ranks the previous ones will be
bumped up until we have all ten spots.When requesting to become an Espada please include the following information in the pm:where your number is tattooed,the color of your Gran Rey Cero and which aspect of death your character personifies.The aspect should reflect their powers/personality and/or outlook on life.

| cool. i like the way ryu has an unknown number of his espada rank. by the way, to be an espada? i can't pretty much remember if there are conditions for that unlike being a captain if you're a shinigami. you can basically just tell that you were if you have an arrancar character. | |

| ~You can say that you were an Espada previously and are now Ex-Espada.But to become an Espada now I'd like there to be rules as it's an important position of power and responsibility,much like a Captain.

| just for notice..i was thinking that ranks should be 0-9 since in the series, yammy specifically said that it was 0-9 but either way, i don't have any problem with it being 1-10 in here. | |

| ~Shin:Ah,yes..about that.You see,the Espada and Las Noches itself are led by Espada #0.Who is an NPC character,just like the general commander and the leader of the arcana are,since they basically "lead" their respective "factions" and will be important to the plot.Espada have ten open ranks and I'd like for them all to be played by player characters instead of taking one or two top ranks for an NPC leader as I've seen many other rp's do.That's why I picked ranks as 1-10 instead of 0-9 and had #0 be the leader.Hope that makes sense....
~Loki: Well,right now that's really not a problem but for the future...If you have a high rank and then just disappear without saying you'll be absent for x amount of time you get demoted.So,let's say you're Espada #8 and you don't show at the forum at all for a month,without any warning of being absent for that long.You rank drops to #9 and previous #9 gets promoted to #8.If another month passes and you still don't show you'll either get another demotion to a lower rank or demoted out of Espada completely,at which point ranks 9 and 10 get promoted to 8 and 9,and a new Espada spot opens.This will likely apply to other important positions in other "factions",like Captains and VC.Though maybe the time should be longer then a month...I'm not sure yet. | |

| ~Update: Added explanations on Reiryoku and Reiatsu,and difference between the two since they often get confused.Kami knows I've done it myself enough times.><; (Same info also added in Gotei 13 thread.) The point of interest is this:Some people's Reiatsu manifests into a shape,based on inner strength/energy,whenever they release enough of it.(Example:Ichgio's blue Reiatsu in shape of his Hollow Mask,during some of intense moments during fights.Yachiru's pink one is shape of angry hissing cat while watching Kenpachi vs. Ichigo duel and getting bothered by a subordinate.) Fair to say that now applies to the rp as well. XD Also,current Espada list added.
~In other update point,congrats to Destadi on becoming Decima Espada.Rank has been now applied. ^^

~Oh yes..minor question for all.We have a general "Espada" rank-(that title below your name,like "Shinigami" or "Seated Officer").Should we have more personalized rank of Espada 1-10..so it would say,for example, "The Decima Espada" ..etc.Just a minor thing that would be really easy to do.*shrugs*
