~The Main HQ Building~

Mikiru stares at akkei, and is about to say something when he hears Yasei's words about his ability being 'cool'. He turns to stare at yasei, a emotionless expression written on his face. he lets out a sigh, "yasei-kun......" he sits up carefully, and leans back against the head of the bed for support, bandages cover his torso and midsection as well as halfway down his right arm, making him appear some what like a half bandaged mummy. ".... This power..... does not make one immortal.... only prolongs the inevitable...." his gaze is soft, yet sad at the same time. "...... It takes time to recover after being brought back.... even after coming back... this one must recover from what felled me to begin with...." he pauses, taking slow deep breaths he smiles. ".... heh..... if you think about it... Kami-sama must not want me yet.... he just keeps sending this one back down." He smiles waiting to see if akkei and yasei caught his joke.

"Well it's still a cool power." Smirking Yasei laughs,catching Mikiru's joke. "Heh,Kami doesn't want ya and those other guys must be scared.So you're stuck with us here,huh"
Gazing at Mikiru for a long time Akkei looks away,grieved look flickering through her eyes.Quietly,as if speaking to herself she murmurs,"There is no Kami..in this forsaken world..." Staring off at something only she can see for a long moment Akkei shakes her head,returning her gaze to Mikiru.Smiling slowly she leans to caress his cheek,"..Well I want you..to remain right here..always..."

mikiru leans into akkei's touch, he closes his eyes, a becalmed look falling over him. "kei-chan....." he opens his eyes and stares at akkei, her face reflecting in his two different colored eyes. he smiles, and gently places his own hand over akkei's. "this one will stay here..." he drops his voice down to a whisper so only akkei is the one who can hear him. "as long as it means..... being able to be here with one whom this one cherishes most...." taking Akkei's hand gently, he kisses it before slowly looking up, "if it were not for you..... or yasei, zero and kurai..... this one... would not have been here today....." he drops his voice back down to a whisper, ".....my heart.... is forever yours.......... as is my soul...." his eyes reflect nothing but the deepest gratitude, far deeper than any words could possibly ever describe.

Squeezing his hand tightly Akkei gazes into Mikiru's eyes,deep emotion glittering in her own.Acting on first impulse coming to her mind she leans over the bed and close to Mikiru,placing a gentle kiss on his lips before pulling away.Smiling a rare,softly sincere smile she's about to say something when the door opens and Kurai barges in,pulling along in a headlock a furiously struggling Zero."Miki-ku, you're awake!Kei-chan,so this is where you took off too." Annoyed look crossing her features she sighs,and turns to look at them."Indeed..Kurai..why are you holding Zero like that? I do believe he's about to suffocate..." Smiling innocently Kurai releases his hold on Zero,who glaring immediately begins coughing."Oops,my bad." "My bad?You almost killed me,you freak!" Shrugging,Kurai looks unconcerned."You didn't want to come to check on Miki though you did want to come.How are you,Mikiru-ku?" "Don't change the subject!That made no sense!" Rolling her eyes Akkei sighs,looking irritated,"Enough!Dear Thoth,you two are going to drive me to an early grave one day." Shaking her head she turns back to Mikiru,smiling lightly with a look that says,'We'll finish previous conversation later',instead asking,"Miki-kun, how do you feel?Well enough to perhaps attempt a walk?Being unconscious and not moving for such a long time is bad for the body." Having been thinking over Mikiru's words all this time Yasei has a guilty look,staring at the ground.

Blushing slightly when akkei kisses him, he smiles slightly then glances over at Kurai dragging Zero with him into his room. He looks back over to akkei and nods seeing the look on her face. when akkei asks him if he was feeling good enough to try walking, he assumes a thoughtful expression. He then carefully moves to the side of the bed, draping his legs over. he looks around like he misplaced something. "erm... could some one perhaps find the top of my Shihakusho? This one would prefer not to be walking around without bandages showing..." he thinks to himself, '.... or walking with just my uniform's pants on........ it just would seem a bit awkward.....'

Glancing over Mikiru to make sure bandages are holding tight she has a distracted look. 'Hmmhm,even bandaged up,Miki-kun's body is in great shape..' Smirking slyly Kurai laughs,"You look fine enough without it,Miki-ku.Don't you agree,Kei-chan?" Eyes widening Akkei looks taken off guard,flushing a bright pink,something unheard off."W-w-w-what?" At Kurai's amused chuckle her eyes narrow,"Shut up!Instead off being foolish why don't you retrieve Miki's hakana from his quarters?The old one was ripped to shreds." Laughing and looking greatly amused Kurai steps into a shadow on the wall,seemingly melting into it before returning a moment later with a shihakusho top in his hands,handing it to Akkei with a teasing smile.Glaring at Kurai she snatches it from his hands,still lightly pink,stepping closer to Mikiru and holding it open for him,managing to keep her voice level."Here you go,Mikiru-kun.."

Mikiru ignores Kurai's comment about him looking good without his top. He carefully removes the IV attached to his arm, and gets up, a bit unsteadily. He carefully puts on his top, and ties the sash around his waist to hold the front of the hakana closed, careful not to make it to tight.
Breathing with slight difficulty he looks over at Akkei, and smiles. ".... a bit dizzy... but... this one will manage." takes a few steps away from the bed, carefully trying to keep his balance. *thinks: 'oi... this is harder than this one originally thought it would be. ><'*

Watching Mikiru carefully in case he gets dizzy or losses balance hovers at his side.Slightly worried places a hand under his upper arm,supporting him and keeping steady."Easy...take it nice and slow,Miki-kun.Your body was in disuse for three weeks and you were extensively injured.Recovery will take time.It's important not to overexert yourself right now." Watches him with a soft caring gaze.

Mikiru smiles at Akkei, "yes... This one will be careful... thank you.." he takes a few steps, and begins walking normally, but is still slow and careful so he doesn't re-injure himself. he pauses for a moment to take a breather, then continues walking. *thinks: 'phew.... It's easier now... oh... I forgot to write down something important..... >< oh no....'* glances at akkei, "oh... this one needs to write a file on this incident.... >< oi.... should do it before one forgets...." he seems to be thinking over everything in a very concentrated manner, not wishing to leave anything out of his report.

Rolling her eyes Akkei smiles lightly,"Miki-kun..you never change.I've already written an extensive report on what happened,only part missing is your encounter..however,that can wait and be attached later." Looking at him sternly she crosses her arms,"You,my dear,are on extensive sick leave.No work of any kind until I clear you.That most certainly includes writing up reports." Hearing a soft chuckle from Kurai she half turns,looking at him irritated,"What?" "You should follow your own advice,Kei-chan." Making annoyed 'hmph' sound she waves her bandaged hand dismissively,"Unlike Mikiru,I am perfectly fine already. --"

Mikiru smiles at Akkei, and doesn't argue with her judgement. "... ok kei-chan.... this one can wait." he walks over to yasei and places a hand on his shoulder, smiling. "Yasei-kun.... keep your head held high. everything will turn out ok..." he smiles slightly, "don't worry too much... this one will recover soon...." He walks back over to akkei, and whispers quietly, '.... kei-chan? would it be alright.. If this one spoke with you... later in the evening? in the garden?' he smiles sweetly, 'there's something... this one wishes to ask you later....' he looks at her with a cheerful expression.

"Oh?" Looking at Mikiru with a mixture of curiosity and interest she smiles,giving a short nod."Certainly,Mikiru-kun.I'll come by..around nine?." Overhearing whispered conversation Kurai smiles slyly,mischievous sparkle lighting up in his eyes.Pulling aside Zero and Yasei he whispers something to them quietly.Glancing at them suspiciously Akkei frowns,not liking the look on Kurai's face at all.'What is he up too? That look just screams 'trouble'. -- Hmm,I do wonder what Miki-kun wishes to ask?He certainly looks quite happy.'

Mikiru smiles happily, " this one shall see you then." he looks around, then decides to walk around a little bit in the hallway, but not straying to far from his room in the medical wing. *thinks:'this one.... can't wait, til tonight. >w<'*
