Goal of the event: Find out what happened at the secret lab.
Specific Users: No.But you should have a good reason for being there.
Location:Human World-New York,USA
Mission type: Normal type mission,possibly a side mission.
Story:
12th division has been recently working on some secret project that's deemed so dangerous they obtained permission to open a lab in the human world.Two days ago all contact with the lab has been lost.Your task is to venture into the lab and find out what happened.Possibly the 12 scientists working inside need to be rescued.Remain alert,the lab is full of traps.The lab is underground,underneath an abandoned warehouse called "Pogo" at the edge of town.

Picking up his new goggles Loki places them on top of his head."Let's see..goggles-check.Soul phone-check.
Supplies.." He pats his pockets. "Check.What else.." Taking a 360 turn around the room he grins."Nothing. Time to head out."

Seeing the needle she swears an inner curse,kneeling down.Gathering spirit energy around one hand she runs it lightly above his arm."This is..paralyzing drug? Great.." Trying to think of something an old advice comes to her mind."Oh! Shiro..while you still can,try raising your spirit energy.Maybe it'll burn it out of your system.."

Shiro nods slightly then closes his eyes, and focuses on nothing but his own spirit energy. a feeling of calm seems to come from him, then beautiful Icy-purple colored mist becomes visible around him as well as long icy purple tendrils. it flares once and then disappears in a bright but soothing flash before it fades. The numbness fades from Shiro, and he opens his eyes and stretches. "Ahhhhhh! much better..... thanks Altri." he smiles a pleasant rather charming smile.

'Pretty color..I like that shade of purple..' Shaking off idle thoughts she stands up,smiling in return."Don't mention it.Niisan once talked about getting rid of mild poison that way,so I thought it would be worth a try.Glad it worked..you need to be more careful." Stepping over the robots she checks on Loki's progress."So,how much longer?Ten seconds already passed,you know."

Loki types in the last part of the code,punching enter.The waling alarm instantly ceases."There!" He smiles in triumph."Seconds,shmeconds.Do you know how stupendously hard it is to crack an alarm,a 12th division one?You get only one try,one wrong number and that's it.The system shuts you out.Not only that but it tracks the terminal the access was done from and activates all nearby traps in a self-defense measure." Cycling through different modes on the goggles he takes survey of the corridor,just in case.Pleased when all the traps appear dormant he clicks back to normal view."It's safe.Relatively speaking of course.There are still active traps inside so we outta be careful.You guys ready?I'll go first,with the goggles I should be able to spot any active traps.Be ready for anything!" Drawing Raijin and holding it in front Loki moves down the corridor,to the steel sliding door leading into the lab itself.It slides open and he stops short.

The room is large and white.White tiled floor,white walls and white papers scattered about on the floor.Right ahead are enforced,double steel doors with a special coating.A panel for I.D. cards explains how one might get them to open.But the panel itself is broken.The doors have large dents as if someone punched them over and over on the other side.It looks like an impossible task to open them.On the right,in the far corner is another door. Smaller,it looks intact and closed.There's an overturned desk by it.On the left side are broken remains of chairs.From the disfigured steel doors leads a blood trail,continuing on into the corridor everyone is in now.

Loki surveys the room with a sweeping look,standing in the doorway and not moving in.He then looks at the floor and frowns,continuing to stare it.

Shiro gets up and is careful not to lose his balance again. "oof... been ages since I've even forced my spirit energy like that...." he glances over to where loki is and follows after him.

Following after Loki she looks at the room from behind his shoulders,taking note of the dents in the doors."What a mess..and those dents,did some try to get out on the other side?" Wishing to examine the room closer she pokes Loki in the back."Hey,why are you standing in the doorway like a statue?Something wrong?"

What the hell is that?Clicking through the different modes rapidly he stops on the one that reads spirit energy,it proves the most effective.Continuing to examine the floor tiles with a thoughtful look he is pulled from the reverie at the poke to his back."Nani?" Her questions echoes back at him as Rai repeats it in his head.

"Oh,sorry.There's something with the floor..You can't see it with normal vision.There are these..colored tiles over the whole floor. Red,orange, blue,black,green and white.Kinda in a random pattern.I'm thinking it's some sort of a trap.."(Note:Each tile is big enough for a person to stand on it comfortably.) Sheathing Raijin he riffles through one pocket.Pulling out a small,round,yellow tin container with a smiling face of a cartoon cat.Opening the lid the container is revealed to be full of yellow candy drops.

"Guys,back up a little." Moving backwards into the corridor couple steps he takes a candy drop and throws it at a red square.The instant it touches the tile it heats up with red energy in seconds,exploding.(the tile,not the candy) The sight reminds him of Shakkahō going off.Not even a trace is left of the candy.

"Niice,step on that red tile and you're a dead man..or woman, whichever." Continuing his little test Loki throws the next candy drop at the orange tile.It glows,a square orange barrier instantly forms around the tile.It seals the candy drop inside completely from the outside world.

"Variation,to capture the intruder.There's more of those orange tiles then the red.I'd bet my wrench that barrier is unbreakable unless ya got the key." Next,he throws the candy at the green tile.Instantly,it drops away.A chute of some sort is visible,to lead the captive to a cell no doubt.After couple seconds the tile clicks back into place.Loki continues his narrative.

"Okay,that was green.I just noticed,after being used the tiles go black.Except the green ones.There are only a couple black.I would say the explosion and barrier are some type of kidou,set on delay.Usable one time,then they need to re-set them." Next he throws the candy at the white tile.Nothing happens.Loki grins.

"Ah-ha!White!That's the safe place to step.Ingenious,making them all look white. Without some aid or inside knowledge it's impossible to cross safety.Seeing as we found the safe one I don't want to trigger blue,who knows what it is.But all we need to do to get to that door is step on safe white tiles.Problem,you can only see them with the goggles."

Taking two candy drops and popping them into his mouth Loki makes a blissful sound."So yummy.Anyone wants some?" Turning,he extends the hand with the container."Sweets make ya think better."

Note:The color of the tiles can only be seen in the special mods of the goggles.The naked eye sees only ordinary,white tiles.But you can see the effects:the explosion,the barrier,etc.

"I do!"

hearing the explanation, shin tries to think of a way to get through but fail.

"Ach, no use...tsk..how can we get through?"

Giving some of the candy to Shin he takes two more,trying to figure out a way for them to cross quickly and safely."We could just take turns wearing the goggles and crossing.You cross and then throw them back.Albeit that's risky.I don't want them to fall and break.Brighter ideas?"

Moving back a little as Loki backs up she observes his "test" with the tiles,as seemingly normally looking ones explode,fall away or form barriers."So we need to cross..but only you can see them,thanks to the goggles?" Politely declining the candy she visually measures the length of the room."No,throwing the goggles back and forth is just asking for trouble.What do we do if they fall and land on one of the bad tiles? If this room is any indication we'll really need them ahead as well.Oh.." Thinking of an idea she turns to look at Shiro."What if you call Fen?Could she carry them back each time one of us crossed?"

Taking a piece of candy Loki throws it high above a red tile,instead of onto it like before.It still explodes."Thought so.You don't even have to touch the surface,just being in it's area is enough. That's out then,that blue bird of his wont be able to fly over without ending up as fried chicken." Gulping down more candy Loki brainstorms some ideas.

having a thought of something that might work out the problem. shin sighs.

"Then we go tile by tile then. Loki-kun can go ahead walk through the safe tiles while one after another, we follow and steps on the same tile."

shin pauses tasting the candy then faces Loki...

"Or...Loki-kun, is there any other way you can mark those white tiles so we can pretty much tell what it is right to go without the goggles?"

"Oh!That's a great idea!I have just the thing too.." Looking through her pockets she pulls out a black marker pen,always carried around for one of the bakudo spells and just general use."Here,Loki you can go ahead and cross through the tiles,marking the safe ones,"she holds out the pen to him.

"Good thinking,that outta work.." Taking the pen and clicking the needed mode on he faces the room,mapping out the route to take ahead of time.Checking it twice he jumps onto the first tile,a little ways from the hall.Landing nimbly he marks it with a black thunderbolt.Continuing on Loki takes careful steps and when the distance is too big jumps,watchful to land exactly on the tile.At last he ends up near the door.On guard,he opens it slowly.Ready for anything Loki doesn't expect an empty room.It looks like this was an office or maybe reception area,in its previous life. Now all the desks are overturned and there are stacks of papers scattered everywhere.Clicking though different mods he steps in only after assuring there are no traps."Ok,this room's secure." Calling back to others he returns to the door to watch over their progress.

watching loki marks the tiles, shin prepares himself and gets ready.

"I'll go next."

in awhile after hearing loki says the place is secure, shin focus on the tiles that were marked and carefully jumps one tile after another until he reaches the end approaching Loki.

"Whew, finally got that over with..thanks Loki-kun"

"I'm done, anyone's good to follow!"

"Then I'll be next.You get to bring up the rear,"she smiles at Shiro.Taking calculating look at the floor and steps she would have to take to cross she pulls out a tie and ties her hair so it doesn't get in the way.After Shin's done,cautiously stepping and jumping when needed she crosses the room thankfully without incident."OK,Shiro,your turn." Waiting for him to cross she studies the new room,absently pulling off the hair tie and stuffing it back into her pocket.

Shiro looks thoughtful for a moment, but seems irritated when Loki calls Fenikkusu a 'blue chicken'. "..... Loki she's not a chicken! she a black phoenix! geez!" he turns to altria, "sure.... I'll bring up the rear." he grumbles something else but it's not comprehensible.

Loki grins."I didn't say she was.I just said if she flied over the room we'd have fried chicken." Checking out the rest of the room he at last stops before steel doors.Looking imposing,there's an I.D. card terminal.But it's broken,a deep slash going through the whole machine."Well,well,someone sure did a number on this place.I would say the labs themselves are behind this thing." He taps on the door."How do we get in though?"

Shiro looks at his kunai, "um... the same way we got in?"

Coming closer to examine the door as well she jerks her hand back at the subtle pull of her spirit energy."It's coated with something..something like sekki sekki.So blasting in using spells is out." At Shiro's suggestion she retreats back to make space for him. " Go ahead then.It should work."

__OOC:Ok,with Shiro being absent I'm moving this along with permission,deleting my previous post and making this one.The door gets melted,it falls forward with a bang creating an opening where it stood before._____

Loki steps over the door,peering down the newly revealed hallway.It branches off to the left few steps further in,running into what looks like a dead end.The main hallway continues on,two doors on the left and one on the right,in a straight line,veering left at the end.
"Better start searching for survivors."On the look out for traps Loki beelines for the first door.There's a shuffling sound.A hunched figure emerges from the dead end hallway. Swathed in layers of black cloth from head to toe the figure distinctly looks like an Arrancar with a mask fragment resting atop its head and a zanpakutou hanging from its waist.But there's something wrong with it.Hunching down,it's mouth hangs half open displaying rows of sharp fangs.From behind long and unkempt, limp black hair sticking out in all possible directions peer out red eyes.There's a vacant emptiness in them. Sniffing the air its head slowly turns from one shinigami to the next.

Shiro peers in through the now open door and notices the arrancar at the end of the blocked hallway. He senses an odd signature coming from the arrancar, and seems a bit wary. "Loki! you might want to come over here.... nooooww...." he readies his kunai just in case.

Taking a look at the hunched figure she swears inwardly,whispering furiously,"Damn it Loki.You said there wouldn't be any of them here,only Hollows!" As it seems to sniff the air it reminds her of a predator catching scent of prey.Placing a hand on Tsukiyomi in preparation of attack she watches the things movement carefully,taking note of its strange appearance.The feeling of wrongness coming from it puts her on edge.

Hearing shuffling sound behind him Loki turns around.The first thing that hits him is the smell.Sweet and cloying,it makes his eyes water behind the goggles. Blinking couple times he at last gets a good look at the figure."Arrancar!" Backing up in alarm he draws his zanpakutou."I'd like nothing better then to be over there with you guys.But in case ya missed it there's a freaky,mummy impersonating Arrancar between us blocking the way!" Sounding panicky he takes a breath,getting it under control.Tracking the creature Loki edges to the side,planning to dart through and rejoin everyone at the opportune moment.Hearing Altria's whispered words he makes a frustrated sound."There were not supposed to be any here!Unless the Hollows learned to spontaneously turn into Arrancars!"

The creature lets out a low sound that's a mix between a growl and a moan.Rapidly looking at Loki then at the group and back it can't decide who to go for first.The weaponless but more numerous group or the one but armed shinigami.Coming to some sort of decision it hops up and down in glee,making a weird scene.With the last hop there's a screech and two of the creature land on the ground instead of one.It split itself.One creature runs in a weird wobble at Loki,raising hands to show sharp elongated claws. The other creature,the clone or maybe the original it's hard to tell,attacks everyone else grouped together with same claws.

Shiro looks surprised and quickly lashes out and blocks the Arrancar's claws. "!! erk!" shiro is pushed back a bit but he pushes back with all his strength to throw the hollow backwards. "eee-ya!!!" he lets out a gasp and seem really worn out all of a sudden. "d-damn.... that thing.... is stronger than it looks."
